My Guy Turns Two

About a week and a half ago we celebrated my son turning 2. It was a great day with beautiful weather. It's amazing to think that 2 years ago we were blessed with this little boy. He continues to amaze us everyday with new skills and new words. I can't believe that in two short years he has gone from a small 6lb 10oz little baby to a walking, talking ball of energy. I can't wait to see what the next year entails for us and for him as he grows and changes. Being his mom is the greatest gift I have ever received!
We started our day with our annual birthday picnic. Myles loves the playground and played a ton. What amazed me was that he really enjoyed sitting at the picnic table with us, eating his lunch, like he did this everyday.



Later that evening, we had family members join us to celebrate at our home. The great weather continued and we spent the entire party outside. It was wonderful. Myles loved to open his presents. He would tear the paper and give everyone a look of awe and excitement as he surveyed his growing toy collection.











He shot some hops and gave his uncle a big hug.





And of course we all enjoyed some delicious cake. Myles had to test the frosting first and then tried hard to blow out his candles. Mom and Dad ended up helping him blow them out.
